Chinara Hill was born in College Station, Texas and grew up in Waukegan, Illinois. When she attended high school, she discovered a great love for theatre and acting. Originally focused on being a vocal performer, she made the decision to pursue musical theatre when she was accepted into NYU Tisch School of the Arts: New Studio on Broadway's Class of 2018. Chinara believed that a musical theatre program would be the best way to pursue both her passions: singing and acting.
The summer of her sophomore year, Chinara attended Shakespeare & Company's Summer Conservatory where she portrayed the role of Adriana in "The Comedy of Errors;" and built upon the Shakespeare training she received the previous semester at the New Studio on Broadway. Chinara's training at Shakespeare & Company deepened her love for theatre and working on Shakespeare plays.
Throughout her time at NYU, Chinara soon found that she enjoyed being on set as much as being on stage, and left the New Studio on Broadway to train at Stonestreet Studios. During her time at Stonestreet Studios, Chinara was able to expand the knowledge of her craft on camera. Chinara received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama on May 16th of 2018. She is grateful for the training she received as a musical theatre performer, and continues to pursue both singing and acting in New York City.
