Chinara Hill born in College Station, Texas and raised in Waukegan, Illinois is a singer-songwriter, actress, and recording artist. Growing up in the church, Hill performed alongside her mom singing in the church choir. She spent most of her childhood writing music, singing in talent shows, and performing in musicals. From a young age, Hill played the violin and self taught herself to play the piano. She trained as a vocalist and actress at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
In Spring 2020, Hill wrote her debut single "Eternity" with the help of childhood friend TaQsem who produced the beat. "Eternity" was recorded and engineered at a studio in Springfield, Virginia. She released her debut single in August of 2020. May of 2021 saw the release of Hill's debut EP "Eternity". The EP is a collection of heartfelt R&B songs centered around heartbreak, relationships and love. Through honest lyrics and inspired vocals, Hill writes passionate songs that evoke peoples' emotions. In the Summer of 2021, Hill wrote, recorded, and released her third single "Cloud 9". Hill aimed to find inspiration for this record with what makes her smile in life rather than what caused tears.
In February of 2022, Hill made her television debut as Monica in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4. Fall of 2023 saw the release of her single "All Night" a soulful passionate record about keeping intimacy and love personal. In Spring of 2024, Hill released "OUTERSPACE" a motivational anthem encouraging listeners to pursue their dreams with fervor. Hill's newest single, "Hot Outside," released June 28, 2024 and is an upbeat sexy summer vibe that celebrates confidence. Her musical inspirations derive from artists such as Adele, Mariah Carey, Florence + the Machine, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, and En Vogue. Hill is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Broadcast Music, Inc.
